Day 01
Spitzkoppe
Breakfast & Lunch Pack
The tour leaves Swakopmund at approximately 08h00, and begins with a drive up the Swakop Riverbed. Guests will see lichen Welwitchia plants which are indigenous to the area. Later, the tour travels up the Khan River, reaching the border of the Vergenoeg’s Farm. From there the drive crosses the B1 main road and during this stretch one can see herds of Springbuck. The drive continues by an old uranium mine to reach one of Namibia’s land marks, “Spitzkoppe”. Dinner under the stars.
Day 02
Henties Bay
Breakfast & Lunch Pack
Departing camp at approximately 09h00 the tour stays in the Spitzkoppe area shortly before continuing towards Henties Bay and carries on down to the Omaruru River. This is a beautiful area. In the evening participants overnight at Fisherman’s Inn Lodge (Byseewah Lodge) where a hot shower and a comfortable bed awaits.
Day 03
Return to Swakopmund
Lunch Pack
Following a sumptuous breakfast at Fisherman’s Inn Lodge, the tour leaves for the return leg to Swakopmund travelling along the beach. After lunch a lunch stop, the rest of the drive – about 3 hours – will take place in the dune belt on the way to Swakopmund.
